Google Satellite Downloader is a smart tool which can help you download small tile satellite images from google map. All downloaded small images are saved on your hard disk. You can view downloaded maps offline,and also you can export them into one large image or tile images. Moreover you can easily get the longitude and latitude of each exported image.

1.View maps online

Click Maps Viewer to view the maps online,you can alter the scene by using Zoom In, Zoom Out or Pan tool.

The function of buttons on the toolbar:

      

Pan the Maps images in the Maps Viewer online.

Zoom in the Maps images in the Maps Viewer online.

Zoom out the Maps images in the Maps Viewer online.

View the global Maps images in the Maps Viewer online.

Select the region you want to download in the Maps viewer as shown below, and then double click in the region to create a new task.

 

 

2.Create a new task

You can select the region to be downloading  and double click it to create a new task  in the Maps Viewer  or click the New Task button on the toolbar in the Task List  to create a new task, with that you  will see "New Task" dialog as shown below.

 

By selecting the Satellite or the Label checkbox you can download the satellite maps or label maps.JUST AS YOU LIKE!!!
You can input or edit the range of coordinate values of the Maps to be downloading in this dialog. If you want to input the value by degree you can click the Degree button next to the input box.
You can click Browser button in the dialog to select the path where you want to store your maps.
You can input the task name in the Task Name input box.
In the level list, you need to select the levels that you want to download.
You can click the OK button to start a new task after you make sure the Parameter setting is ok. The Task List view will show you the process of this new task.

 

 

3. Check task process

 

You can click Task List to view all tasks as seen below. Then you can click the tool buttons on the toolbar to download the Maps images.

 

 

The function of buttons on the toolbar:

Create a new task as mentioned before.

Import the task file (*.dat,*.idx).Click this button, and it will show you the Open Folder dialog. then select the task file of *.dat only.

Go on downloading the selected tasks in the Task List.

Suspend downloading the selected tasks in the Task List.

Stop the selected downloading tasks in the Task List.

Delete the selected tasks in the Task List.

Open the storage folder of the first selected task.

 

4.Check downloading process

Select the task in the Task List window, then select task that you want to check. The Maps Blocks window will show you the progress of the task as seen below .The blocks corresponds to the images one by one. When the images are downloaded successfully, the block will turn green, otherwise it turn red. If there is no Maps data it will turn blue.

Blocks legend:

Have not downloaded block.

Be downloading block.

Download block successfully.

Fail to download block.

Block downloaded but it has no data or doesn't need to download this block.

The function of buttons on the toolbar:

      

Pan the scene in the Maps Blocks.

Enlarge the image into a higher level in the Maps Blocks to check the downloading progress.

Zoom out the image into a lower level in the Maps Blocks to check the downloading progress.

View the task region in the Maps Blocks to check the downloading progress.

Click this button, then draw a rectangle in the Maps Blocks window to select the region you don't need to download, then the selected blocks (only gray or red blocks) will turn blue.

Click this button, then draw a rectangle in the Maps Blocks window to select the blue block, the selected blocks (only blue blocks) will turn gray.

Click this button, and it will locate to the downloading block.

Click this button, and it will locate to the Failed downloaded block.

Click this button, with that click a single block in the Maps Blocks window, and it will show you the Maps Property dialog as seen below.

In this dialog, you can get some attribute information corresponding to the block you just selected, such as the coordinate value of this Maps and Maps code and so on.

 

 

5.Check downloaded result

Select the task in the Task List window, then select task which you want to check. Click the Maps Images label, and then it will show you images downloaded as shown below.

 

 

The function of buttons on the toolbar:

      

Pan the scene in the Maps Images window.

Enlarge the image into a higher level in the Maps Images window to check the downloaded images.

Zoom out the image into a lower level in the Maps Images window to check the downloaded images.

View the whole region of the selected task in the Maps Images window.

Clicking this button will show you the Export|Union Images dialog.

Click the button, with that, click a single block in the Maps Images window, it will show you the Maps Property dialog. In this dialog, you can get some attribute information corresponding to the block you just selected, such as the coordinate value of this Maps and Maps code and so on.

 

 

6.Export & Union downloaded images

Clicking the Export|Union Images button on the toolbar in the Maps Images window it will show you the Export|Union Images dialog as shown below.

 

You can click the Export button to union the tile images to one large image by default.
